| Job Summary:
Directs and oversees the financial affairs of the organization and prepares financial analyses of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management.
The Director of Finance is responsible for the company's financial plans and policies, its accounting practices, the conduct of its relationships with lending institutions and the financial community, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports.
The position involves supervision over general accounting, property accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting, and budgetary controls.
The Director of Finance has the responsibility for providing the organization and its management with the appropriate financial and operating information necessary.
This individual and the accounting staff are expected to work closely with other department groups on problems involving accounting systems and financial planning.

Oversees accounting departments, budget preparation, and audit functions. Meets regularly with company staff to keep informed and to offer direction.

Reviews reports to analyze projections of sales and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggests methods of improving the planning process as appropriate.

Manages all financial matters with financial partners.

Analyzes company operations to pinpoint opportunities and areas that need to be reorganized, down-sized, or eliminated.

Studies long-range economic trends and projects company prospects for future growth in overall sales and market share, opportunities for acquisitions or expansion into new product areas. Estimates requirements for capital, and an increase in the work force.

Manages the overall financial daily operations of the company, including A/P, A/R and preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Operating experience in a $10M - $20M private company with proven ability to enable growth and scale in larger operating environments.
Preference given to:
Experience in technology/software/ lending/financial transactions processing businesses
Degree in Accounting and CPA designation
Skill in math, accuracy and precision, interest in business, organized, willingness to follow recommended procedures, honesty, patience, good written and oral communication skills, good people skills, team player, and three (3) to five (5) years' experience in private industry.
**Eight to ten years of experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning.
**Ability to engage as a senior business leader in situations ranging from routine operating decisions to strategic planning, especially in reaching and exceeding targets in uncertain environments. Given the dynamic nature of our business, we require proven ability to assist in modeling and analyzing new business strategies with multi-million dollar impact.
**Flexibility to travel and engage effectively in remote reporting situations. Prior experience on integrating corporate admin functions, financial systems and reporting resulting from corporate development and acquisitions.
